“Pregnant women! They had that weird frisson, an aura of magic that combined awkwardly with an earthy sense of duty. Mundane, because they were nothing unique on the suburban streets; ethereal because their attention was ever somewhere else. Whatever you said was trivial. And they had that preciousness which they imposed wherever they went, compelling attention, constantly reminding you that they carried the future inside, its contours already were drawn, but veiled, private, an inner secret.” – Ruth Morgan
To my fellow Moms and first-time Moms-to-Be,
Greetings and a warm welcome to Brorq.
My name is Anuradha, I’m the co-founder of Brorq, and I am excited you have discovered us.
As a mom of two active and wonderful young gals aged two and Seven, I truly believe motherhood is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I enjoy spending time with my gals and I adore watching them grow day by day. We have so much fun together.
And yet being a mom is a serious business; I believe that as moms we are growing the future.
I remember thinking that I needed to enjoy “just me” time, sleeping in, and date nights with my husband, because I was told over and over that those days would be a distant memory.
But no one really tells you about the painful and annoying moments. It can be downright hard. Even impossible at times.
I remember wistfully putting aside my favorite clothes as my body morphed to accommodate my Daughter. We all know about the sleepless nights and the painful labor.
The excruciatingly sore nipples during breastfeeding or the oh so itchy and scratchy maternity wear which we have or the little daily (sometimes often!) annoyances-like those stupid clasps on those maternity bras that you simply can’t open especially when juggling a young baby in your arms.
When I had my first daughter, I practically threw my hands up in the air in desperation trying to find clothes that actually helped rather than hindered me.
I discovered clothes fell into two categories. They were either really pretty but hopelessly impractical or super ugly but functional. For me, neither was acceptable. So one day, after realizing I literally hated every single piece of maternity wear in my closet, I decided to stop complaining and to do something about it.
Brorq was born- A company devoted to creating maternity and postpartum clothes that are effortlessly chic and beautiful but also comfy and practical.
It stands to reason we deserve to look and feel great all the time. Because our clothes have been meticulously designed to make your little journey easier.
Like motherhood, this company is built on love.  I hope you can feel the difference…
We’re here for you.  To help, listen, and join you on this amazing journey that is motherhood and to succeeding at the impossible.
Happy Mothering.Happy nursing.
yours truly,
Anuradha Ganesan.
